This is post is a bit late about a week..hehe.

Yep, we did celebrated our First Year Anniversary, I have to go home to Iloilo since hubby was there to have our ceiling done.

We have to clean the whole house! Fix our room and I was so exhausted! We decided to have a family gathering his and mine at our house, reminiscing our wedding, since it’s Sunday.

We don’t have a special plan although I was planning a get away, we didn’t have much time to plan it coz both of us was so busy.

The next day, Monday we have decided to have a road trip to Bugasong, unplanned but I really love it. It was so spontaneous.

This will be forever be remembered by heart.

Origins and Facts About Sweetest Day
Observed the 3rd Saturday in the month of October,Sweetest Day observance originated in Cleveland in 1922. Herbert Birch Kingston, a philanthropist and candy company employee wanted to bring happiness into the lives of orphans, shut-ins and others who were forgotten. With the help of friends, he began to distribute candy and small gifts to the underprivileged. On the first Sweetest Day, movie star Ann Pennington presented 2,200 Cleveland newspaper boys with boxes of candy to express gratitude for their service to the public.

Another popular movie star, Theda Bara, distributed 10,000 boxes of candy to people in Cleveland hospitals and also gave candy to all who came to watch her film in a local theater.

Primarily a regional observance celebrated in the Great Lakes region and the Northeast, Sweetest Day is gradually spreading to other areas of the country. People tend to take the Sweetest Day tradition with them when they move. Ohio is the top state for Sweetest Day sales, followed by Michigan and Illinois. Texas, California and Florida are among the top 10 states in sales.

Over the years, Sweetest Day has evolved into a time to express romantic love and also to show appreciation to friends

And guess what’s the Sweetest Day in 2008?

It’s our wedding day October 18,2008, what a coincidence.. i just stumbled on this the other day and I was so happy that we were married on that day. :)

18th of november

we are a month of being married, i’m having mixed emotions since happy because it’s our monthsary, :) sad because my hubby is leaving for work tomorrow 19th of november, whew huhuhu. I promised not to shed a tear but today when he’s on his way to attend to his orientation, suddenly i felt all alone, I watched dvd and slept, however when i woke up i texted him if how’s the orientation, i can’t help myself but cry, huhuhu.
19th of November
6am-2pm
we woke up early today and prepared our breakfast, he made some calls to his mom and my tatay, his cousins and tita del to tell them that he is leaving for work, that’s 12 months. we ate breakfast together, and have some one on ones, in fairness i didn’t shed a tear today, :) hehe . we left home at around 10am, meet some of his friends and co workers, and left at around 12nn
Now, they are in Cebu, and have their maiden voyage on 4th of December. Wish I could be with him by then.
PS. 20th of November we’re on our 34th month as bf-gf. :)

Barely 3 weeks after wedding and here I am still can’t believe that finally I’m married.I watched our on site photo story over and over again this morning when my hubby left to report to his agency.

Barely 2 weeks that we moved in to our rented apartment with Kitchen, dining area, living room, one t & b , cute terrace and entrance gate. We can’t get off on each other’s arms on our sleeping and waking hours, hehe.  Like most relationships, we have some arguments as well since it’s our first time to live together in one roof many things that we have discovered from each other, lil things, some are bit unusual, we have fought over small things as well but managed to settle our differences before end of the day.

Well, that’s probably because we’re still in our honeymoon stage.

Post wedding notes: I’ll receive our photos in two weeks time from our official photographer, can’t wait.

The Pamamanhikan.

My bhe went to our house alone to do the pamamanhikan, :) His mom can’t go with him since she is with her apos (Ate Carmela’s children, sis of my bf). Since we’re both of age, he’s 35 and I’m 29, technically we don’t need a parent’s consent but we have to we’re both only girl and boy in both families ( his side and my side), but we just wanted to do it properly and formally.

I asked him if he was nervous about it, and he said a yep, a bit.

At about 10pm, after rounds of drinks and long talks with my father and my brother in our terrace, my father transferred in our living room, I’m with my mom watching tv, then my bhe texted me that it’s time to ask for permission. Then I went to the terrace and asked him to come in the living room, then we dropped the news, that we wanna get married.

My father excitedly said yes, actually they already knew it’s coming I already informed them before hand, but my mom was so quiet, she didn’t utter any word, but she eventually said it’s fine with her.

So today 29th of August, we are formally engaged.
